SERIES OF THE KINGS AND QUEENS OF ENGLAND. Set of thirty-two medals. (The series was first published in 1731). Each medal measures 40mm in diameter.
White metal 40mm by Jean Dassier. In 1830 Sir Edward Thomason,a Birmingham medallist and maufacturer,purchased the dies of Jean Dassier's Kings & Queens Series.He issued a set of Kings and Queens consisting of 36 medals. The reverse have a biographical inscription. The complete set is in the British Museum.
